- Loosely defined as peer based contributions to developing code. Usually free with some limited requirements. Applications Like Joomla, Mambo, WordPress and others.
- Organic Search Results is a common term used when discussing search engine optimizaiton. It refers to the search results "naturally" returned by the search engine. Organic Search Results can also be called non-paid results. Most search engines will display paid advertising, relevant to your search, above organic search results.

RSS is short for Real Simple Syndiction. Simply put, this is a resource that is accessed by anyone who can view an RSS Feed. The feed is an XML file in a standardized format, that provides information you choose to allow. The idea behind an RSS Feed, is that visitors can access feeds to preview content that is updated on the website that owns the rss feed.
For example. Most Wordpress blogs include an automatic RSS Feed that visitors can subscribe too. People who subscribe to your blog can preview new content before they visit. Many people use this method to keep up with news and events, and other important information that is contstantly being updated. Website users who use RSS Feeds, can preview content on multiple sites from one place.
Conversely, some websites pull content via an RSS Feed, to include dynamic content to thier websites.
Search Engine Optimization(SEO)
Improving where your website is displayed in search engine results for your targeted keywords, or in general. Search Engine Results refers to the "organic" or un-paid search results.
- Is a term used to define the act of recording items that customers are interested in purchasing. Typically an Add To Cart Button under product details will allow customers to "keep" said product with them as the browse the website. When they are ready to Check Out or purchase, the "shopping cart" remembers the items and presents them in a list fashion with a subtotal for customers to review the items before purchase.
Secure Socket Layer Certificate. Secure Socket Layer or now called Transport Layer Security is a protocol(networking language) that provides security for communications over the Internet.
